David Santos

David Santos is Assistant Professor of Psychology at IE School of Human Sciences and Technology. He holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Statistics from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain). His research interests focus on attitude change and how metacognitive processes influence subsequent judgments. He has performed research stays at Ohio State University, working under the supervision of Pablo Briñol and Richard Petty, and in the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. His research interests focus on cognitive and metacognitive processes of attitude change. He has published in prestigious journals such as Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, Aggressive Behavior, Journal of the Association for Consumer Research, Social Influence, Evaluation Review, and Quality of Life Research, among others. In addition to his academic career, he is currently collaborating with the international NGO Intermedia Social Innovation, aiming at the implementation and evaluation of social marketing interventions and campaigns based on scientific research. He has also served as an associate consultant of the Travel Club Chair in Loyalty Programs at IE Business School, providing his expertise in social and consumer psychology and statistical advice.

David Santos es Profesor en el IE School of Human Sciences and Technology. Es Doctor en Psicología y Máster en Metodología de las Ciencias del Comportamiento por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Sus intereses investigadores se centran en el cambio de actitudes y la influencia de los procesos metacognitivos en los juicios de las personas. Ha disfrutado de estancias de investigación en distintas universidades americanas, como Ohio State University, donde ha trabajado bajo la supervisión de Richard Petty y Pablo Briñol, y Stanford University. Sus intereses de investigación se centran en los procesos cognitivos y metacognitivos del cambio de actitud. Ha publicado en prestigiosas revistas como el Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, Aggressive Behavior, Journal of the Association for Consumer Research, Social Influence, Evaluation Review Quality of Life Research, entre otros. Además de su carrera académica, colabora con la ONG internacional Intermedia Social Innovation, dedicada a la implementación y evaluación de intervenciones y campañas de marketing social basadas en evidencia científica. También ha trabajado como consultor asociado para la Cátedra de Travel Club sobre Programas de Fidelización en el IE Business School, aportando su experiencia en el campo de la psicología social y la estadística.
